Private Parties, Club Work, Conventions, Weddings, Dinner Music

Society Music, which is instrumental show tunes from the 30's 40,s and 50,s from the US, is what my specialty is.  I work with duos, trios, quartets for the most part and light classical music..

Duos for Dinner Music and Background music for private parties and small conventions where they want quiet entertainment that does not interfere with the light business conversations and talking.

Flute, Clarinet and Soprano Saxophone with Piano

Short Song List, Bossa Novas such as Wave, Girl From Ipanema, etc, Ballads, San Francisco, Love is a Many Splendered Thing, When Sunny Gets Blue, Up Tempos such as Something's Gotta Give, A lot of Living To Do, French Songs such as I Love Paris, autumn Leaves, Under Paris Skies etc, Waltzes such as Edelweiss, Tennessee Waltz. Fascination, Around the World, Italian Songs: Arrivederci Roma, Mala Femmena, Al di La, Viennese, Wunderbar, and Tales From Vienna Woods

Trio: Woodwinds,  (Clarinet, Flute and Soprano Saxophone), Piano and String Bass

Quartet: Woodwinds, (Clarinet, Flute and Soprano Saxophone) with Piano, String Bass and Drums.

The Quartet would be best when the client would want listening music and dance music using society music settings (bright tempo tunes in a two feel) with some Dixieland, Latin, (cha-cha, mambo, paso doble, tangos, calypso, sambas, merengues, boleros, Bossa nova) Viennese, Italian German, Irish, French, and Big Band Tunes.

Private Parties and Conventions: If you would like popular local music we could include Latin percussion and vocalists from one to three singers.  The more singers the more variety for the party.  We could start off the evening with Dinner Music, Society Music, Rock Set, Latin Set, Dixieland Set and End with a lot of singing.

All parties can be run on a time schedule or run like in New York, how the party develops, when the food is being served and how the people are dancing.  For a dance band's job is to get the people to dance and it is the leaders job to fine the tunes that suit the crowd for dancing's.

My experience includes working with all the top instrumental dance bands in New York city for over 20 years, Meyer Davis, Lester Lanin, and Peter Duchin.  I also was the band leader at the Homestead Hotel in Hot Springs, Virginia which a five star hotel playing for the Fortune Five Hundred Companies and their private parties and conventions.

Bring New York to your hotel by hiring Greg Waters now living in Acapulco. I can also import musicians from New York City and Dallas Texas if you would like a special band.
